The famous oil-yielding Bulgarian rose is an inseparable element of Bulgarian history and culture. Every year it is celebrated in a very special ceremony – the Rose Festival. In early June the Rose Valley comes alive with the songs and dances of the rose-pickers. During this unique event, visitors could observe harvesting rituals, the coronation of Queen Rose and a street parade – symbolic tribute to beauty as a reward to the hard work of rose – pickers. It is a unique and rare experience to breathe and immerse in the rose fragrance. Feel the roses as source of healing, creativity, balance, peace and beauty.
Day-to-day Itinerary
1 day – Arrival at Sofia airport. Meet & Greet. Transfer and accommodation in hotel in Sofia. Dinner and overnight at hotel in Sofia.
2 day – Sofia city tour – Visit of The Rothonda Svety Georgy; St. Sofia church, Alexander Nevski cathedral, The National Historical Museum, where there is an exposition of Thracian gold and silver treasures, Boyana church – UNESCO heritage. Dinner in a typical restaurant and overnight in hotel in Sofia.
3 day – Departure to Rila Monastery – one of Europe’s oldest and included in UNESCO’s World Heritage List. Sightseeing of the Monastery. Drive to Plovdiv
4 day – Sightseeing tour of The Old town of Plovdiv. See the Old Quarter, the Ethnographic museum, the Church of St. Konstantine and Helena, the Roman Amphitheatre, Lamartine’s House and Jumaya Mosque.Lunc .
Departure for Kazanluk.
16:00 Welcoming and accommodation in a three star *** Hotel near Kazanlak
18:00 Attending a dance lesson in learning typical Bulgarian folk dances tutored by professional choreographer and folk band. Certificate for successful learning will be awarded.
19:30 Dinner accompanied by fairy scenes of rhythm and color

Dinner and overnight in Veliko Turnovo
6 day – Sightseeing tour of VelikoTarnovo – the old capital of Bulgaria. See Tsarevets Holy Hill, the Church of St. Peter and Pavel and Samovodene market. Then visit the unique village of Arbanassi with the Church of Nativity (unique frescoes dating 16-17 th. cen.) and Konstanzaliev’House. Dinner and overnight stay in hotel.
7 day – Velko Tarnovo – Departure for Koprivshtitsa and tour of this museum town with 19th c. atmosphere and architecture. Sofia. Dinner and overnight stay in hotel.
8 day – After breakfast transfer to Sofia Airport
